Ms. Jintana Phongpakdee, the Director of the Corporate Communications at IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., stated that IMPACT Muang Thong Thani reaffirms its highest level of readiness as a leading MICE destination in Asia by serving as the host destination for THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA 2026, the region's most comprehensive food and beverage trade exhibition. The event will take place from May 26-30, 2026. This year's edition is set to be larger than ever, with the exhibition space expanded to its full capacity across all halls, covering a total area of 140,000 square meters. It will accommodate nearly 3,600 exhibiting companies and welcome approximately 90,000 visitors from 130 countries worldwide. The Venue has made comprehensive preparations in all aspects, particularly in efficient traffic management and public transportation systems, alongside fully integrated infrastructure and facilities, to ensure convenience and create a lasting impression for all attendees throughout the event.
For traffic management, the Center has worked closely with event organizers, including the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Koelnmesse, Expolink Global Network Ltd., as well as relevant authorities including Nonthaburi Province, the Nonthaburi Provincial Police, Pak Kret Police Station, and the Nonthaburi Provincial Transport Office to enhance operational capabilities as well as maximize travel efficiency.
IMPACT has implemented a comprehensive traffic management strategy comprising two key operational plans:
1. External Traffic Management
The Center has coordinated with Pak Kret Police Station and Bangkok Expressway Public Company Limited to facilitate vehicle flow in and out of the Venue through dedicated Easy Pass lanes. Additional advisory signs have also been installed to recommend the use of the Sri Saman Expressway exit when traffic congestion occurs on the Muang Thong Thani expressway section, helping reduce traffic congestion and vehicle accumulation.
Visitors travelling by car are also encouraged to use alternative routes including Bond Street Road, Khlong Prapa Road, and the Expressway toward Chaengwattana or Sri Saman Road to access the Venue more conveniently.
2. Internal and Surrounding Area Traffic Management
Within and around the venue, the Center has coordinated with police authorities to accelerate traffic discharge and optimize traffic signal timing. Contingency measures have also been prepared should the main parking areas reach full capacity, with visitors directed to supplementary parking facilities at Lakeside 4, BEEHIVE, and Cosmo Bazaar. Shuttle bus services will operate continuously throughout the event period, transporting visitors to Challenger Hall 1 daily. To strengthen safety measures, IMPACT has upgraded its surveillance capabilities through AI-powered CCTV systems that are capable of detecting congestion points and abnormal incidents in real time, enabling traffic patrol teams to respond promptly and manage situations efficiently. Rapid response units, tow trucks, and traffic rescue teams equipped with emergency equipment have also been prepared to immediately respond to accidents or vehicle obstructions within the area.
For visitors travelling by private vehicles, both indoor and outdoor parking areas have been prepared with a combined capacity of more than 12,600 vehicles, complemented by shuttle services operating throughout the Venue.
To avoid traffic congestion and ensure more convenient access, visitors are encouraged to use the Pink Line train and get off at Lake Muang Thong Thani station (MT02,) Exit 4, which provides direct access to IMPACT Forum Hall 4. This year, the event organizers have added an additional registration point at the lobby of IMPACT Forum Hall 4. Alternatively, visitors may use IMPACT Muang Thong Thani Station (MT01,) Exit 3, which connects directly to Challenger Hall 1 via the sky bridge. Registration counters are available at the Challenger Hall 2 lobby and Halls 9-10.
Public transport services on major routes have also been increased, including Victory Monument, Major Rangsit, The Mall Ngamwongwan, and Chatuchak. In addition, three outbound city routes from IMPACT have been introduced:
- Sukhumvit - Nana - BTS Asoke
- Silom - BTS Saphan Taksin
- MBK Center - BTS Siam
Dedicated Grab and taxi service points are located at the Challenger Hall drop-off area near Atrium 2 between 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m., before relocating to AKTIV Square from 4.30 p.m. -7.00 p.m. Visitors can enjoy transportation discounts of up to 40% by entering the promo code IMPACT40 for advance bookings or using IMPACT15 for Standard Bike/Car and Saver Bike/Car services to support visitor mobility during the expo.
Ms. Jintana added that the Center, in collaboration with Pak Kret Police Station, has established three taxi screening checkpoints to prevent a service refusal and off-meter services. Public awareness campaigns are also being conducted to discourage the use of taxis that do not operate the meter and to elevate service standards. Should visitors encounter service-related issues or fare overcharging, immediately contact police officers or Department of Land Transport officials stationed at the venue or call the Passenger Protection Center at 1584.
