Vegetarian Festival feasts on the menu at Summer Palace

Award-winning Summer Palace restaurant at InterContinental Bangkok, long lauded for bringing authentic Cantonese cuisine from the streets of Hong Kong to the heart of Bangkok, is pleased to announce a Special Vegetarian Menu celebrating the annual week-long Vegetarian Festival in Thailand this late October.

The restaurant is helmed by Executive Chinese Chef Shui Wing Yau, a Hong Kong and Shanghai native blessed with culinary wizardry that has twice been recognised by the Michelin Guide. Through myriad Cantonese dishes done right, Chef Shui brings his considerable experience to bear in a Special Vegetarian Menu that comprises healthy and flavourful dishes such as bean curd caramel and cucumber with chilli sauce salad; double-boiled bamboo pith and yellow ear mushroom soup served in a coconut shell; stir-fried vegetarian pig's ear with Chinese yam and black bean sauce; stir-fried taro and fresh mushroom with kung pao sauce; braised eggplant with vegetarian sea cucumber served in a clay pot; braised bamboo and Shitake mushroom with green asparagus; and braised vegetarian with fermented red bean curd.

Summer Palace restaurant presents a refined and elegant open dining area and 10 richly appointed private dining rooms where lunch and dinner are served daily in a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. It's a fantastic spot in which to celebrate a tasty Vegetarian Festival feast with family, friends and colleagues.

The Special Vegetarian menu is available at Summer Palace on 21 to 29 October 2025 for lunch from 11.30 to 14.30 hours and dinner from 18.00 to 22.30 hours. Prices start from 380++ per dish.
